Default will 2006 911 rims fit a 2011 base carerra

looking to soften the ride of my fathers 2011 911 (base carrera) currently OEM running 19" rims. will the OEM 18" rims from a 2006 997 plug and play?

the tire dimensions seem to be the same on the 18's:
235 40 18 front
295 35 18 rear

TIA

You didn't mentioned rim's sizes. If it 8" front and rear 10" then 295 tire would fit (on a higher range) but ideally you would want 295 on 11" from C4 with ET51 to fit perfectly flash. Overall you are fine.

car currently is running:
235/35-R19 front
295/30-R19 rear

so the same width between the 2006 rims i was asking about (both 9.3" wide/front and 11.6" wide rears)...which seemed to make sense to me. just wanted to ask before making the swap. this is our first Porsche.
