Default C4S Rear spacers

I took my 07 C4S into a tire shop to swap out a set of wheels. The rears have spacers from the factory like this:

This is not my car but spacer is the same. Is there anything unusual about these spacers? Curious why a reputable tire shop will not touch these. Is there any particular trick to removing them?
Thanks!

I dont know what you have there, its not normal. If you are asking a question you have to put your picture in, not some random stuff

Looks like a stud conversion. Studs in spacer and spacer attached to hubs with bolts?

I was able to get them off last night with no issues. I see why the tire shop would not touch these. They do look strange. Apparently this is what Porsche used for some wide body 997's in the rear. The car has Carrera Sports that only come in narrow body offset.

Suncoast has them here:

HRE's for wide body going on today!
