Default Draining coolant

I am going to drain all the coolant and have a stupid question. Would it help to jack up the front of the car to drain all the fluid
out of the radiators with out having to remove the front bumper to get access to the drain valves.

Opinions???

Actually that's what I did last year when I did mine. If I remember correctly I got an extra 1/2 gal out. I let it drain level until it stopped and then jacked it up and got the extra. I then jacked the rear higher than the front when I refilled. I did a couple of fill/drain cycles with distilled water (until the water drained clear) then added the coolant. I know you're suppose to put a vacuum on the system when refilling but I don't have a vacuum pump.

How many miles are on your car? My car is 10-11 years old, and when I asked about changing coolant, my Indy said they do not see issues with coolant and change based on mileage and not time FWIW.

Used the Airlift II vacuum refill system for coolant drain and refill on my 997.1 when I replaced the water pump and t-stat. Bought from Amazon:

I remember hearing the same thing about the Cadillac Northstar.(that didn't work out so good). I think it's just cheap insurance to change it more often.
