Default TPMS (997.2) - Question

Good Morning,

I'm at a crossroads of just buying some winter tires, and swapping them on for now. . . and then either swapping the summers back on or getting another set of wheels eventually.

Or, I'm going to buy winter tires, and a set of wheels that I found on eBay. . . and just keep them as a winter set-up (probably going this route).

With regard to the TPMS. . . If I purchase sensors from tpms247 (012 Porsche 911 | 433 MHz | IM3502 Aftermarket Replacement TPMS Sensor | OE Part #: 958 361 661 00) do they just work automatically? The car will just pick them up after I go through the dashboard screen for set-up? Nothing needs to be "programmed", right?

Thanks!

I bought new tires and wheels from tire rack and asked them to install the sensors in the new set. They worked perfectly. No programming. Just go through the pcm programming. Remember to move your old sensors away from the car or it gets confused. (I tried setting up the new sensors with the old tires within a few feet. That didn’t work).

Just ran into this problem. 991.1 sensors not syncing with a 991.2. Dealership quoted me $1900 to replace the sensors . . . . FML. I'm debating between going with tire rack for $48 each or suncoast for $145 each. They are dedicated winter wheels so i'm not going to be swapping the tires out anytime soon.
