This piece is a shot from one of my front EBC Yellowstuff pads. The pad had seen 2x25 min. track sessions. I washed my car the other day and dried via circling the block and parked for 2 days. And this morning when I started to drive, I felt the pads stuck on the rotor surfaces, so I slowly applied some gas to break, and I think this is what happened. Unbelievable!!! WTF
I always had good results with EBC yellow stuff at the track, but lately I've been using Pagid 29's, and someone mentioned in another thread that EBC's are having this issue. I guess I'll stay away from them going forward.
not surprising. They crumble badly if you put a lot of heat to them. I had one set hat behaved well but the second set crumbled badly, so I switched to PFC which have been fantastic and handle all the heat you can throw at them. Maybe is a quality control issue with EBC, but I'm done using them for track use. Maybe for fast street use.
I’ve used the ebc brake pads on another car. With just normal street driving they were done in 7k miles. This was years ago, never touched ebc after that. Junk quality imo.
