Default Alignment advice

Hello all,

Its time for new tires and I am asking advice on my alignment. I drive a 997.1S MT. My car is lowered on H&R springs. I have 19 inch rims w/ 305’s in the back. I have 5mm spacers front and back. My rear passenger side tire is showing wear on the inside of the tire all the way to the metal threads. I do not track my car however I do like driving the car swiftly and enjoy taking the turns the same. I have read where people recommend a more aggressive alignment. Please advise what exactly I should tell the shop when I replace my tires w/ Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

Thanks,
b

your tire wear is likely due to an issue with your toe.

If you drive hard on the street, you can possibly add a bit of negative camber, but the reality is that the stock alignment is fine. Just make sure your toe is basically zero'd

i agree with the post above: You probably have too much toe causing premature wear on the one tire. An alignment shop will be able to identify and correct that easily.

For reference, see the "Current" measurements in the bottom half of the attached picture. These are mine and I am very happy with them. They are a noticeable improvement over the "before" settings.

the above looks fine for a street car.
