Yeah, this is a horrifying debacle, and almost assuredly just the tip of the iceberg. Nobody - and I do mean nobody - involved here is without SERIOUS guilt and liability. Including BoA. (There's no way you can embezzle, much less skip town with $2.5M cash without immediately triggering AML, AFC, and IRS controls at numerous points. Just opening the account should've raised red flags.) Makes me incredibly relieved I didn't do business with them when they had a 997. And incredibly thankful I have one of the true good guy dealers in town.
