Car is looking great and the photos are fantastic.
How bright are the rear plate lights? Where did you get them from?

Thank you, they are bright but look just right. The factory setup is very dim and early 90's looking, the new LED's are slightly brighter than today's factory LED license plate lights. I got them on Amazon form SiriusLED.

I really like those wheels - I'm partial to Lobster Claws (or Lobster Forks as many claim to be the correct term).
I don't understand why anyone would put black wheels on these cars - IMO It totally ruins it's appearance.
Very nice clean car - Keep it nice and be sure to watch out where u park it - Most humans park by feel.
Enjoy!!

Thank you, I like them as well, and i completely agree about black wheels (specifically on brighter colors). I do want forged or flow formed wheels with a more aggressive offset and a brushed finish with clear, this will keep the wheels bright and save weight over OEM. Right now I am considering the HRE FF01 or BC Forged KL12.
I would highly recommend the HRE FF01's out of those two options. They are the only ones made here in the U.S. and are back by HRE's legendary build quality. I have Rennlist member special pricing on them if you're interested - David@WheelsBoutique.com

While the way a wheel is manufactured is important it is equally important as to who builds it. Companies like HRE, BBS, and Forgeline go the extra mile to put their wheels through the ringer to ensure that their customers get the utmost quality wheels and are happy with their purchase.
HRE does not offer Brushed Clear on the FF01's but they do offer a similar Stone Clear seen here near the 27 second mark -
Brushed Clear can also be done by a third party.

Fabspeed 997.2 Carbon Tips & GTS Style Rear Valance
Today I installed the Fabspeed Carbon Exhaust Tips and over the weekend I had the rear valance wrapped in satin black. Unfortunately it is raining here in Ottawa so I only have garage photos...

Like your taste....
Same color etc. 997.2 S. I am also wheel shopping. I'll be keeping up with what you decide on. Also over the back wheel fad.

I'm watching this thread closely to see what wheels you choose because I have the same color 997.2 and I've been trying to think what wheel finishes compliment the Platinum Silver paint best. It's proving tougher that I imagined: Anything less than bright silver seems to wash out too much (blend in with the paint), and anything too dark just looks black (yuck).
Normally I'd be tempted by something in between -- grey. smoke silver or even matte bronze, but it's tough to find reference photos of this on a Platinum Silver car. The slight gold tint inherent to Platinum Silver is tricky to pair with. You don't want to draw out the gold too much, or it could skew the car too far toward Lexus/luxury, rather than sportiness. A classic bright silver finish on and open mesh wheel with a decent step lip in satin clear is the best idea I can come up with for now.... but I am eagerly awaiting your next move to see something better!
