997 4 gts price check
#2
Far more common than 3 pedal examples. But clean Carfax means nothing. Especially with those kind of miles, and especially C4GTS. Need to have a complete maintenance history, and I'd want PPI to check the HPFP pressure, since it's a known weak point. Past that? Would have to see a lot more details, including the sticker, to give you any sort of idea. About the only way I think you're going to get accurate 997.2 C4GTS data is talking to those of us who have bought one.

Sticker price is actually irrelevant when pricing these out; it's actually about what specific options the car came with from the factory. Certain options are desirable enough to move the price one way or the other. Body and paint condition is also critically important, even with no reported accidents. 40k miles says "this was somebody's daily driver." So maintenance and service is critical.
We've been discussing the rarity over in my thread since I just got a C4GTS Coupe 6spd, the unicorniest of these hoonicorns.
Total C4GTS coupes was 1,321 for 11-12. The overwhelming majority were built in 11 - 885 of them to 436. Of those 1321, assuming an 88% PDK ratio, it's 1 of approximately 779 C4GTSes.
But here's the thing: rarity itself does NOT move the needle on these currently. What moves the needle the most is having three pedals, and it isn't because of rarity. Yes, it's a very uncommon car period, but this should not move the needle on the price. The C4GTS is nothing more than bolting up the C4S driveline to the GTS. So it should be considered under the complete GTS blanket.
However, even sight unseen, I would not hesitate to say anything over 70 is "walk away immediately." RAC has a more desirable C2GTS Cab with 27k on the clock at $72k ask today. C4GTSes generally should price under C2GTSes because of "I want RWD" biases. With 40k miles, it should be under 67 unless it has certainly highly sought after options.

Woah. For a GTS?
Yes. That price is good. It almost smells too good. Does it have PDLS, ParkAssist, full leather interior, or the aero kit? Which steering wheel option? Any modifications? (Modifications = price goes down.)
At that number I would not hesitate to drop a PPI on it unless there's serious red flags on the surface.

I wouldn't post a link here. But it seems far too good to be true.

However, as I said: there's still a major downward pressure on the C4GTS because it's not RWD. Purists insist on turning their nose up at it for that reason alone. PDK also nudges it downward slightly. But that's... yeah. Unless it's some really wacky PTS that everyone hates, I'd be going through it with a very fine toothed comb.
However, could just be they couldn't find sale data. C4GTS does not exist in NADA guide, dead serious. I think if we took a poll of everyone on Rennlist and asked how many bought or sold a 997.2 C4GTS Coupe in the past 24 months? We'd be able to count 'em on one hand. These just don't seem to change hands very often.
