Default Should I buy this 997.2 C2S???

I am thinking about buying this car. Attached is the Carfax. No accidents. 3 owners. I would love to hear from the experts. Some of you might know this car as the 'Plain Jane' that I referenced in another thread. Only has one key. No service history other than what you see in the Carfax. I was going to call the dealerships and see what was done. All in all it seems like a good deal and a good car for my first Porsche. A PPI is being done today.

Thanks!

Thanks Bronz for the feed back. I know folks post these types of topics all the time on here. I guess it just makes me feel better.

Just bought an extremely similar car at about the same price. I think it's solid, but I'd try to knock down $500 for the missing key.

I won't comment on the price.. but when I bought my GTS I made the selling dealership get me another key. I paid for the new key at my local porsche dealership and sent the dealership (not porsche) I bought the car from the bill, they sent me a check for the amount.

That's a good idea about the key. How much is a new key?

Too much for me to be the one footing the bill! It's been a couple years but I think it was $300-400

This is why we’re here - it’s a support group for Porsche addicts, and aspiring owners.

A manual 997.2 is a nice, reliable car. It’s an S which will help with resale.

I’m a fan of full leather, but if you like the example, jump on it!

Thanks Flat. I am definitely leaning on it. Lets see what the PPI says. My main concerns are if there are any revving events and the longevity of the clutch. Kind of wish it has the sport chrono package but not sure if that is a big deal or not.

From the pics, the brakes seen better days. The OCD in me wonders how one can fully detail a car, leave grime in between the shift **** gear numbers AND THEN take a macro mode pic of it. It looks good but def get a PPI done.

Seems almost like my car except the interior color. If the PPI check's out and you love the car make the offer. A little post purchase cleaning and some minor projects will just help you two get acquainted properly.

Enjoy,

I saw the shift **** too. Definitely. I also thought the same about the rotors. I asked him to give some close ups. Not as bad. Just some rust. Also is here is a video. The drivers inside door handle is loose. Tires don't look like much tread is left. Hard to tell though. I am going to see the car in a day or two.
