What is it?
An adapter kit to easily install the OEM 991 Front Sports Spoiler (SPASM) directly onto your 997.2 (2009 - 2012 model years) in a safe and secure manner, and in a way that looks like it belongs on the vehicle.

Why do you need the Emc2 Adapter Kit?

• The 991 SPASM Spoiler is a great aesthetic and aerodynamic OEM option for the 997, but it’s mounting points are not compatible
• The kit solves this problem and:
  • eliminates the risk of damaging components (such as headlight washer lines) inside the bumper
  • is strong, but also designed to ensure that your bumper will not get damaged if you do impact the spoiler.
  • is an easily reversible solution - spoiler can be removed in less than 5 minutes if needed

The result is a completely OEM / factory look and fit of the 991 spoiler.

• 1 x 991 SPASM Spoiler # 991505525011E0 now available with the adapter kit on the EMC2 website
• Almost zero DIY skills needed :)
• 15 - 30 minutes of quality time with your 911 to do the install

A jack to lift one front side of the car makes the install easier, but it can be done without raising the car also.

Any 997 models that are not compatible?
The adapter kits cannot be used with the following variants GTS, GT3, GT2, Speedster, Turbo or vehicles with aftermarket front bumpers.


A bit of the history leading up to this solution:
In 2015 I was the first to successfully test and publish how to install the 991 SPASM spoiler on a 997.2 standard bumper reusing the existing mounting points. The process worked great, but was not at all an easy DIY.
Several people thereafter wanted to use the same spoiler and simply screwed it into the underside of the bumper. While this can work, it comes with risks, such as damaging the washer hoses and other components inside the bumper, and it is not a repeatable process in case the spoiler is impacted and ripped out, as you would need to make more holes and add even more screws.

In 2018 when I needed to replace my own spoiler, I decided to use the opportunity to develop a new method resulting in a much easier solution.
This was the birth of the Emc2 Spoiler Adapter Kit.

so true. iv done the srews and for sure iv hit the heaaldight washer line. not too important as the washers still work although water is also coming out undreneath the bumper.. lets see how this thing goes. emc youv done it again. cheers to you bro

I didn't realize so many members were still waiting to add the 991 spoiler, as many had done it since the initial thread back in 2015.

I can definitely produce more. Just have to confirm what would be a reasonable price, as it takes a long time to produce these the right way. Will provide an update ASAP.
