Looking for tire recommendations. Mostly touring on a C4S Cab but still need the performance. Quiet would be a plus.

Are they quiet? This is a Cab, I don't think it will see any track use. I don't think it has before. New purchase to me, just needs tires for a summer cruiser and touring car

Frankly, don't have a good comparison for you. I came out of a 996GT3, which was pretty noisy, especially, with the rubber I had on there. The S-04s are quieter than the Pirellis that were on this car when I bought it.

Ok that's helpful at least. I've read a main battle tank is quieter than Pirellis.

I have MPSS. To me they're quiet. Performance in spirited and casual driving are great IMO...T

I would go with Continentals.. They usually are quieter and softer than the Michelin and Bridgestones.

Had Bridgestone RE050A's on my cab. The worst I had ever owned for noise and only got about 7K miles on the rears. Have Continental Extreme Contact Sport now and love them. They are super quiet and responsive. When I bought them, there was a $70rebate as well.

I just put a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on all four corners of my Carrera S. LOVE THEM! Ton of stick and much quieter than the Bridgestone's that had been on the car.

Nitto Invo. $1,000 for all 4 and performance is 9.8/10 of what you get with the Michelins, which I had on my car before these. Dry weather grip is excellent and wet weather performance is very good (80 MPH in pouring rain is totally stable).

I run them on both my supercharged 997 and on my 928.

For less dry grip, better wet grip, and longer tire life, Hankook Ventus Evo 2 is what's on my wife's car. They're directional which means you can't move them side to side to even out the wear without a dismount/remount, but they're in the same price range.

I've got 75K miles on three sets of MPSSs (plus 5K on the originals I bought the car with). I've run in puddles at well above highway speeds trying to break them loose to no avail (credit also due to Porsche AWD). They are extremely predictable and controllable breaking loose in the dry. Quiet until worn. Couldn't be happier with them and will replace with MPS4s in the near future.

I'm running Continental Extreme Contact Sports, 19", 305's out back and 235's out front and am very happy with them. Did one weekend DE with them, and they were great. Mostly daily use, now that I have a dedicated set oftrack wheels. Those are Michelin Pilot Super Sports and they are excellent tires too (18" on OEM 5 spoke Cup III wheels).

I replaced old Pirellis with Michelin PS 4S and couldn't be happier.

I've got about 1k miles on MP4S and they are great and quiet enough for me. I've also ran about 100 laps at mid ohio with these tires and they performed great.

I love dry grip but are either Nittro or Hankook quieter than the Michelins ?
