Default Porsche Film - "School Trip" 997.2

This video popped up in my YouTube feed this AM and I'm ashamed to say I watched the whole thing and even learned some new things about my 997.2.

Who would have thought the Germans would know how to make such convincing propaganda?

Cool. Anyone know what road and in what country that video was shot? It looks familiar; maybe from an old Top Gear episode??

I've traveled much of Europe and can say with certainty that most of that footage wasn't in Germany. Further than that it's hard to know accurately. What you see from the road itself and what is seen from a helicopter are quite different views.

Some of those roads look similar to ones you see along the French and Spanish borders near the Pyrenees. There's a mix of roads typical in the ariegeoises and the catalan.

Others are very familiar from the areas around Bugarach and north into central France. Others look like coastal France closer to Provence. The white sand beaches are from an entirely different area. Maybe Gascogne.

The mix of footage also doesn't help - they are definitely skipping 100s to 1000s of km between shots. The 'school' shown at the very end isn't within 1000km of any of the previous footage.

Thanks for giving me a reason to mentally check out this afternoon ... Yup, I, too, just killed 22 minutes and 26 seconds of my firm's time to zone out on this

That is a great video and this one goes with it:

PAG knows how to illustrate its core fans, no doubt.

Great marketing video...thanks for sharing!

A few of us had an overnight drive to the Eastern Sierra last week, which felt similar to the video...
