Default My car turned 10 years old this month!

And also turned over 75k miles! Spec sheet shows a production date of 06/2008; I know I can't be alone in this, so Happy Birthday to all of the other launch 997.2s from the same build month!

It may be a 10 year old car... But it certainly doesn't look like a car that old (thanks to the timeless lines and design of 911 heritage and DNA)... And it definitely doesn't drive like a car that old!

A short lived, temporary bare butt shot (accidentally busted off the Carrera emblem while drying the car during one of it's washes... Now rectified)...

And a big one for Porsche in general this year as well...

One of the best automotive decisions I've ever made, no question.

Happy birthday to your car (Whoa, can't believe I just wrote that :-) ) Hmmm, I need to check the build date but I agree the 2009 launch editions are great cars! Just did a 3,558 mile road trip in my C4S and loved it: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...he-dragon.html

I'm fixing to get ready to do Denver to Cincinnati soon; Tail of the Dragon would be amazing to drive at least once in my life (I wonder if I can squeeze that into our trip somehow... It's ~5hrs away, I think?)... Hmmmm...

Love your C4S, and those light weight buckets... Hands down, my favorite seats! Wish I had a pair!

Big congrats, mine is along the same dateline as yours sometime this year as well. Been contemplating moving into a 991 but something about attachment and sentiments with the 997.2 that has me going to keep it. 09’ with 35k miles to date

Mine turns 10 in next month. Still feels like a brand new car with just over 40k miles. Like the OP, best decision I've made on a car

The 997 design is aging so well. Hands down the greatest 911 of all times!

Hey, thanks for the reminder... mine's an 07/2008 production according to the door tag (although the build sheet says 09/2008?), so the big day is coming up... let's call it tomorrow, July 1st - Canada Day!

I've got 87,000kms (about 54,000 miles) and have owned it for about 3 years, and the car still looks and drives like a new car. I finally gave it some love and topped the CQuartz with two coats of Carpro Reload yesterday - it's gleaming!

5 hours in a 997 is nothing! Go for it. Got the chance to do TotD last year. A blast. Congrats on 10 years of motoring fun....T

Some gorgeous .2's posting; looks like I'm in good company! The decade has been good to us... Looking forward to the next 10!

Not that I am complaining or taking serious issue with you, but five hours in a 997.2 GTS with sports buckets is not nothing (and it is not like I’m not used to discomfort as I spends 400 to 600 hours per year humped over the handle bars and balancing on the saddle of a >12 pound road bicycle). Just saying YMMV.

And also, it is a tribute to the 997 that they are getting a bit long in the tooth but are still great looking and great performing cars. I’m starting to think that PAG really hit it out of the park with this generation!

I just realized my 997S launch edition is 14 years old this October! Getting old!

Dude I love this 997 - I was never a huge fan of this green on the 911 to be honest but you transformed the entire look with the wheel selection - looks like serious business!

Congrats on 10 years! Reading this makes me feel I need to give mine some special care! Definitely does not look 10 years old at all!
