Default Nose updates complete! Gt3 vent and maxton lip

Finally received the maxton lip, and got to installing everything. I did the vent yesterday, and put the nose back on. The lip arrived today, and of course it installs woth 14 bolts. This is a quality piece, no doble sticky tape and self tap screws here. So now i am well practiced in the nose removal.
overall everyhting went well. The rennline kit was fairly easy. Only struggle was the worry if it was straight and centered, otherwise easy. The lip was also reasonably easy with the nose off. Clearance with the H&R springs is almost 4”, so not crazy. I still need to be cautious with my driveway, and entrances, but easily streetable here in florida

I have a question on the Maxton material . It seems they use ABS. Is it flexible enough to bump and not break easily ( comparing to urethane ) or is it like Fiberglass (easily broken but repairable)?

Thanks

The splitter is somewhat flexible. I would say not as soft as urethane, but not as brittle as fiberglass.

I was thinking of trying the 997.2 version of Maxton lip on the 997.1 Bumper. It should fit without any major labor. BTW YOUR CAR LOOKS AWESOME !!!!

This was my 997.2 Maxton lip - It bottomed out at high speed (3 figures) and ripped half of it off . So yes they are pretty brittle, its a type of ABS plastic.

Ive gone with the 991 lip now.

Nice Jeremy! Do you take any in-between pics when you were installing the GT3 vent?

That doesn't look that bad to do and nice D.O.C shirt. What did you use to cut the bumper? Dremel?

Looks great, you're almost my twin. Be cautious when leaving driveways entering roads, I broke off a corner of mine.
