Pelican Parts Blows . . . Where Can I Order without BS
I used to order from Pelican Parts when it was small and had good service. Just wasted a so much time dealing with their BS today, but I need brake parts for a 997.2 and don't want to take this car to the dealer. Who out there is DEPENDIBLE and what rotors and pads do you guys recommend for fronts on base C2.

I've used pelican, sunset, suncoast, warehouse33, and AutohausAZ.
AutohausAZ was the fastest in terms of shipping and prices are competitive.

I will +1 Sunset Imports Porsche . SunsetPorscheParts is website for OEM parts. Located in Beaverton, OR actually ;^) Prices are great for OEM and save a bit on taxes depending on what state you live in. Luke Rogers is my go to guy if you call directly.
I shop a lot at Pelican too for the non "Porsche Box" alternatives. I live in Los Angeles, so their shipping to me is usually next day and they have been good to me. Sorry to hear you are dealing with some BS...
well, the truth being, even as great as Sunset/suncoast or other discount dealer prices are compared to local dealers, you will still pay a bit of a premium for the Porsche Boxed items over aftermarket, but not as bad as you think, maybe within 10% ... depending on what the part is. Plus you have to consider taxes vs no tax. May come out the same.
as far as recommendations for brakes and rotors... OEM is best, but I have used Sebro Rotors and Textar pads with great results. On track as well. Textars can squeal a bit when dust builds up in rotors, but I spray/rinse my rotors once a month, maybe less depending on miles, and have very few issues with squealing. best of luck.

The BMW guys have been raving about FCP Euro - Disclaimer: I have never used them (haven't had the need tbh)
From their website:
"Every auto part you buy from FCP Euro is guaranteed for life, for as long as you own the vehicle. Our Lifetime Replacement Guarantee covers everything we sell, including wear-and-tear items like brake pads, gaskets, brake rotors, filters, and wiper blades!"

If you can use FCP, do it. The warranty is worth it. Other than that, for most of my Porsche stuff I use Suncoast. The point and click solution just makes it easy and their prices are either cheaper or very close to the competition where it makes it worth it.

I typically switch them depending on what I'm after. If I wanted to just buy the stock ones and wasn't concerned about price, would def just go with Suncoast. If I wanted stock ones at a slight discount I'd go with Sunset, if they had it for less. And if I wanted something similar, but not necessarily OEM, then Pelican parts. Last time I did brakes I got them from Pelican parts. Pads were Textar and discs were OEM. And I got the hardware (bolts, etc) from Suncoast in a kit. But that was a few years ago now.
