Default Is there a 305/30-19 All Season Tire?

I use my 997 as my daily bad weather car year round. However, I have a summer and winter set of wheels and tires. I want to simplify and also go to a 12" width instead of using the spacers for the aggrieve stance. Thoughts?

Bridgestone makes a 295. The difference is hardly worth notice.

Nope, the one Bridgestone used to make was the RE970AS.. which they stopped making (at least in 997 sizes).
There is an RE980AS that's the replacement, but I'm yet to see it in 997 tire sizes.
No Bridgestone, No Michelin, No Continental and No Pirelli. It's almost like there exists no market for these
So there's literally noone making "good" all-seasons for the 997 now!

I was struggling to find a good set of all-seasons for my recent 997. My tires were completely shot so bad that I refused to take the highway.
So I settled for a set of Toyo Proxes 4 Plus (295 rears though).

They're ok for my driving I guess, and I haven't really pushed the car at all - will wait for summer to do that
This is the first time I'm running all-seasons on a 997, but I'm guessing it's ok for our weather here in the NW.
If it gets too cold, I'll stay at home, or take my wife's car. Maybe next year I'll shift to a summer/winter setup - we'll see.

I have the Bridgestone RE970AS in 295 on my 11" lobsters that I use for my winter set up, as my only concern is cold, dry pavement (it's not my dd), and they look a little stretched on there. I can't imagine they would look very good or perform well on a 12" wheel.

what youre trying to accomplish is not going to work. Also im not aware of any tire manufacturer that will spec anything wider than an 11" wheel for their 295 and an 11.5" for a 305.

My 991 GT3 had 305/30-20 on stock 12" wide rims....And I believe all 997 GT3's also had a 12" with 305s....I do agree that 295s on 12 will not work. I am just tired of always having two sets of wheels for my general purpose car.

I too am thinking about getting all season for the C2S not for handling snow but only to not have the rear lose traction around 50 degree F on dry pavement so I can extend my driving season into early spring and late autumn (Car will be stored when temp is below 40 degree F). I love my Michelin when temp is around 70 degree F but they are not fun in early spring or late autumn. I wish there is all season option in 997 sizes. If anyone found them, please update this thread.

An all season is going to give you better performance in April and November in the "shoulder" season but far worse performance in the entire summer season. Is that really a trade off that makes sense?

It's my street car and I don't push it on the street to anywhere close to 8/10 so if an all season tire will provide 7/10 of the summer performance of the Michelin then I can live with it.

Performance doesn't just mean peak grip. It also means feel, traction, wear, noise, and other criteria. Presumably you bought your Porsche for the driving experience - it just seems odd to me to compromise that in the interest of saving a few bucks on a second set of wheels/tires (more for the OP than you).

There are, but not in the 305 size the OP was asking about, which was due to specific needs on a 997 GT3RS 12" wheel. There are a few options currently available in the 295 width which are fine on the normal 11" wheels. For instance, I believe there is a Continental Sport Contact all season.

Hum, I searched up and down on Tirerack and Discounttire website but no all season option in either 295 or 305 were presented.....
