Came home from our trip to Hawaii and my garage door wouldn't open. I opened the one beside it only to find the lift my 911 was on failed and it, with one ramp, was sitting on my wife Cayenne and wedged against the top front of the garage. I hope my insurance will cover this

I have a 4 post so I'm really curious about this failure. The ladder failed in want way?
Did it unbolt or snap from the top, or was the lock not engaged into the ladder or did the ladder just snap in some random point higher than the lock? Even so, you'd think the cables would have kept the car up.
Sorry I hear. The engineer in me wants to dissect this to the nth degree.

Sorry to hear this. Like others, as much detail of the failure would be appreciated, including pictures and lift brand. I've been thinking of getting one, and this is the first time I've heard of a failure.

I was thinking that when he said he purchased the lift exactly one year ago to the day, but thought it would be pretty insensitive to suggest unless knew 100%.
