Default Torx

Good afternoon,
I need a T24 Torx bit to remove the taillight assembly on my 2005 997.1. I've looked everywhere and can't find one. Can anyone help, Please.

I'm not sure if this helps at all, but for odd-job tools:

I occasionally go to a local fire station (big one, with lots of toys), and give them a couple boxes of ice cream sandwiches to borrow a tool or two. And then return it quickly.

Good luck with your search.

I'm sure I have one but it's a screwdriver not a bit. Check your local auto parts or even Home Depot.

Pretty sure a 997 never used a T24 (does that even exist?) on the car..

It's prob a T20 or T25. Did you try those?

Not sure which video said T24 (not even sure if it exists). But when I swapped to LED tail lights on my 05 997, I used a T20.
Here's another video that goes into the details:

You could always get Medieval on it..... touch the top with a Dremel disc cutter and cut a small shallow slot, use a flathead screwdriver. Those screws are usually not very tight in the plastic parts.

To correct some infirmation, the two torx are t25, not t20. You dont need to remove them to remove the tail light for servicing. You can remove just the center Phillips head screw.

On my 997.1 the two torx bolts needed a T20 screwdriver.
