Default 997 Tiptronic TCU

Good morning,

My 2008 targa 4 has been suffering from various transmission problems and we finally have detected the problem, faulty TCU.
Any experience in repairing it? It seems that this kind of TCUs are not very repairable..
My car uses 997.618.180.14, but I cannot find any in good shape..
Lots of them with the last two digits like .13 or . 08, do you guys think they could be recoded and fine?

thanks for your help..

Al.

I don't know that the piwis configuration would have anything to do with it as much as making sure it can be flashed to the correct software and firmware as your original TCU. I don't know the answer to that. Try reaching out to the tuners who ave developed code for tcu tunes in the past.
