Default AWD

So I am gearing up to buy a 997 C4S, but when I go to youtube and look at all 3 or 4 videos of C4S driving in the snow, they either drive normally and do fine but don't explain anything or the do donuts in a parking lot. Well I noticed a video where one was just spinning the rear tires in the snow and not moving but it was supposedly a C4S. So my question is are they turning traction control off which makes the car RWD or is there something else going on?

Allegedly the 997.2 C4S, with the new electro-mechanical AWD, can disable the front wheels with one click of the handbrake. I say allegedly since I've never tried it and have never read any documentation.
