How much do you pay for your XM radio in your 997? Interesting enough, I renewed my XM subscription on my Ford Cmax for $30 ( For 6 months). I thought that was a great deal, so I called to get the same deal for my 2009 C4s and they quoted me $15.99 a month. I told them I just got the $30 deal for my Ford, I want to same deal on Porsche. The operator said that deal isn't available for a Porsche...

Does XM charge by the brand of the car?

No, it should not be dependent on the car/manufacturer. They always have 'promotional' deals, it depends on what they think they could get out of you. I have XM in two cars (so they know I'm a listener), but not in my 911. They call/email every couple months, and I believe last week it was free for 6 months, and $30 for the next 6 months (12 months for $30). Still refused, and I'm assuming they'll contact me with an even better offer down the road.

When the operator said "no deal" you just need to ask to speak to the supervisor or hang up and try another operator. They deal all the time. Not vehicle specific plus you should get special pricing for having multiple subscriptions.

It is a big chuckle....... "I don't listen any more... not interested... just cancel me" "Oh that sounds good... but, no really, just cancel me......" "Hmmm... that isn't bad, but I really don't listen any more, just cancel me"......... "Deal"

Peace

I’m paying $9.99/mo on a three year subscription for each of four radios.

I went up three levels of people for somone to listen. I think the “well just cancel” all the radios now and refund the remainder of the three month left, finally sunk in. You have to be persistent, 98% of people just roll over and pay.
