I’ve owned the car for four years. It came with the Cargraphic mufflers & Cargraphic rims. I added the IPD Plenium & GT3 Throttle body plus APR Software. I dynoed my car April 2015 and put down 325hp & 271tq. Since then I’ve completed the Cargraphic exhaust with both the long tube headers & 200 cell x pipe along with the Fabspeed duel intake & my numbers were 323hp & 275tq. Definitely not much chance compared to money spent. However the sound is worth it all. My car screamed on the dyno today.

Forum people:
"Why doesn't any one ever post dynos for mods / 'performance parts'?"
...
Someone posts a dyno...
Forum people:
"There are so many caveats regarding dynos, useless numbers, why bother posting."
Pick one, people.
Whether or not you can take these numbers to the bank with regards to a 997.1S with exhaust, plenum & intake, at least it's an actual data point instead of vendor bull****.
Cheers

lol. I can see your point if you didn' know how dyno work. A dyno with no baseline is just as bad as vendor dynos that show 1 single baseline run with one single modified run on a 10hp part. They'e completely meaningless. It is what it is. I rouinely see 30awhp differences in my s5 on the same dyno during the same session with no changes to the car whatsoever except the, intake temps hit a timing reduction offset map by 1 degree c.
That being said if you can combine before and after dinos with acceleration data that will give you the best information.
A single Dyno with no Baseline is going to give you nothing. Although in this posters case he was able to gusstimate that adding headers, high-flow cats and a Fabspeed c.f. intake netted him a 2 horsepower loss in power according to his before and after. .... but he'd want to be sure nothing else was impacting the results since the dynos were 2 years apart.

Thanks for the datapoint Bailey. Much prefer to see some owner data than anything from a vendor. Even if there could be some more supporting info, enough owner dyno data will give a general picture of what can be expected.

Sharkwerks posted before/after dyno results for their crosspipe on a 2009. I think they claim 18HP increase with "proof". I believe it but I don't care actually as I did it for the sound. But....my point here...... I could not tell 18HP..... so, I really don't know what people are chasing... It appears to me (assuming Sharkwerks really gave me 18 more HP) that if you really want to enjoy more HP, then you have to be ready to do something that is a bit more extreme like forced induction.

Thanks for posting the data! It is good to see even if it doesnt show gains like get claimed by the vendors. Very cool of you to do.
I tend to agree with Bruce on the performance mods on the NA 997. Go with what you want for sound or for changing "feel" like with throttle mapping (you can buy a $50 throttle modulator on ebay). this is what tends to sell the tunes anyways is the "feel" of added power which is mostly wrapped up on the tuners messing with the throttle maps on our NA cars.
You can spend 5-10 grand to get 25hp which is going to gain you..what... maybe 2 tenths in the quarter mile as far as acceleration improvements.
If you want a real discernible performance gain, you really need to add a "power adder" (aka, turbo or supercharger or nitrous).
Go for sound and have fun!

This is why I spent money on suspension and track lessons. I have friends who have put serious $$ in mods and have dyno runs up the butt that show something.....then we go to the track and they get smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror. Then at the traditional post track meal (that means beers) they always have an excuse usually followed by plans for the next mod....sheesh.
