North Shore, I just listened to your PSE and FabSpeed set up..... Wow it sounds amazing. I can only imagine the sound at 7k. Do you get any drone inside the cab that is very noticeable.
Thanks Damon, this is exactly the exhaust note I was looking for, without any drone. This was my DD for ~3 years, and with a 50-mile round trip commute of mostly highway driving, Ive never had any drone either top up or top down. Im a big fan of the FabSpeed products, as I also installed their seconday cat bypass pipes on my 2012 Cayenne S (with also doesnt have any drone )
Good luck with building your own exhaust system, and just make sure to post up the video clips with where you end up!
North Shore...Do those Fabspeed headers and cats bolt up to complete stock PSE (all three OEM mufflers)?
Yes they do - we design the Headers to be a direct, modular replacement so you can either mate to OEM or additional Fabspeed exhaust components. Typically a 3 hour job to install the Sport Headers on the 997.2's.
One of the main constraints on the 997.2 is the OEM cats so we upgrade them to premium HJS 200 Cell Sport Cats along with investment cast 3-1 merge collectors which frees up additional power/tq (+13whp/16ft-lbs) along with a deeper, throatier exhaust tone and no drone.
