Default Engine bay insulation falling off

I am a new owner of 2009 997.2 C4S and found the top insulation in the engine compartment was fall down and touch the engine.

Anyone know how to fix it? I think it is difficult to fit it inside the engine compartment.

2009 C2s 120K miles

Yep, same happened to mine..... I just pushed it up and kinda squeejeed it back on as it appeared to re-stick fine. I am not worried about it..... if it falls again, I will look into repairing it. I noticed it about 10K miles ago.... if it falls again say in another 10K, then it should be repaired. I don't know exactly how I would do it..... there may be fasteners or maybe it was just glued up there. Either way, I think I would peel it back and re-glue with some high temp stuff. I have not done the research on what type of glue to use but it appears it can all be done with a long reach (and a cool engine). But I did not try (yet).

Peace

Hi Bruce,

I finally peeled the insulation off and use 3M 90 Spray Adhesive to glue it back in around 15 mins. Wait for a certain of time and test drive, still stick it inside.
