Agree as I read thru this thread, to each its own. But like the way it worked out for my color combination. Stock came with the silver Carrera logo and silver S. My car is speed Yellow, and came stock with black Carrera II wheels, and red calipers. Speed yellow has a little red in it and the Red S matched well. Also changed out the Carrera badge to black and ceramic coated the sport exhaust tips matte black. I like how the combination came out and matches nicely with the touch of red and black around the car. Attached is a snapshot of the rear this past August. The picture has a little sun glare in it, but should give a sense of how it looks.

Update: Ordered the red "S" today. Will post a picture once I get it on. Thanks to those who commented and posted pictures. RJ
When my "S" broke off I replaced it with the red one. My car is jet black so it looks really nice. Maybe look washed out on silver
