Default Space saver spare tire

Found a space saver spare factory wheel and tire with tool kit for $300 for a 996. Will this fit a 997? 17 inch wheel with offset of 19.

Thanks for the quick reply. I hope to carry it on a rear seat with the seat belt holding it. Does that sound doable?

Why not carry it up front in the trunk - that's where it was designed to be stored.

Correct; this is where I carry mine. You need to get the tools, jack, etc. And please remember that in case of a flat,
the space saver only goes in the front.

The trunk is where it was designed for but just wondered one if it would fit in one of the rear seats and also will a rear tire fit in the rear? I would rather put valuables in the trunk and spare in the rear if it would fit.

Is it the 17 inch collapsible tire? I can only find the collapsible in 16's and not sure will fit over caliper.

And store a large trash bag in order to carry home the damaged tire as well. Its gonna be a tight fit for a rear tire in the cabin

I would check the tires born on date on the side wall. Many of the low priced spares like this have very old tires on them. For a collapsible spare I can not say how old is too old. But according to Michelin and Bridgestone tire companies tires that are 10 years old (from the born on date) should be replaced.
