Default Side skirt removal

I’ve removed the 6 screws holding the lower side skirt in place, what’s the procedure now to to get the side skirt off?

Thanks

start pulling and popping, theres about 6 clips along it. They break if they want to, so you may have to get new ones

yup, did this when replacing my side skirts... pull away from the car (parallel to the ground) first and you may be able to pop them off without breaking them. The clips are constructed in two pieces.

One clips into the car from the bottom and hangs down a bit. Then the piece that attaches to the skirt snaps onto the hanging clip. So pulling back out laterally may remove without damaging the hanging clip. Good luck.

I have a 2006 C2S. Are you telling me the body colored stock skirts come off?

I'll add that I'm referring to the tt/gts/gt2 skirts, but believe it's the same procedure for C4 skirts.
Not sure about c2 skirts.. thought they were small and in the back only.

I used this method on my GTS, and the side skirts came off clean. I resprayed with SEM trim black, but the pits near the rear wheels were not covered up even though I did some sanding. Thinking I might need to primer it first that might help fill.

@cosm3os There are no removable side skirts on narrow body vehicles. Only the wide body 997.1 and 997.2's have removable side skirts.

Jedi - When you get it apart can you take some pictures of how the clips interact/mount to the body and to the skirt and the rest of us will be all the wiser - Thanks

just pull toward yourself parallel to the floor. Each clip will slowly come out. Not too much force was needed.
