PCM Map Question
Hi everyone, newbie with a PCM Map question.
I just picked up a 2010 C2 and the map functionality is not working, but everything else works as it should. I assume this is due to no cd?
The system information shows:
Verbundversion V1.40
PCM3 Seriennummber:
BE6674905051011
I have done some research and appears I need an upgrade to V3.0, and from what I have read, this version must be installed at the dealership.
Would anyone know if the SuncoastPCM 3.0/3.1 Map Updatewould fix this issue? and is this something I can install? or does it have togo to the dealer?
Or would it possible to look for an older MAP CD, as I don't need the latest greatest map.
Any suggestions /guidance is appreciated.
Thanks,
Philo

Philo,
You'll need to purchase the latest version of navigation maps/PCM firmware from Suncoast or another provider and then bring in the disk/access codes into the Porsche service department to have it installed. I had mine done a few years ago and my Indy could not perform the update (apparently there are other access codes for updating the maps/PCM that Porsche controls). In fact, the dealership will use multiple thumb drives to load the new software..and it will take a few hours to upload.
Good luck!

Thanks Greg,
Not what I was hoping to hear, but now have direction. I appreciate the advice.
Looks like I won't be able to avoid the dealership this time.

If you are in San Fransisco, are you running a non-US map set? Just wondering as the text of the info screen is in German on your PCM.
Version <blank> should still work - updating the version isn't needed to get it to work - something else is off.

Thanks Minok.
Yes, I am in the San Francisco area and everything in the PCM appears to be set in English.
Any suggestions how to get to trouble shoot this thing?
