Default 997.1 oil alert but dipstick fine.......?

Or am I the dipstick.......

Check oil alert message came on. Used the electronic dash lever thingy.......oil level is right between the two arrows. No leaks.

What gives? 40 minute drive surface streets nothing spirited.

Thanks

Had you just turned the car off and back on after a short stop? Mine has done that to me a couple of times when I stopped to get gas. Something to do with time interval, maybe engine temp, not sure what exact circumstance triggers it, but same experience - oil level shows fine when checked via the gauge. Warning goes away after driving for a bit, shutting down and restarting.

Dash oil check?

Oil bar?

ECU activated oil indicator level reader aka A-OIL-R which is common in Europe or so i'm told

I had the same issue, but the problem was TOO much oil in the pan. It had been overfilled at the last oil change. I removed about 1/2 quart and everything is fine now.

Oneday997 nailed it. Came home, no warnings and oil level right in the middle.
