Recently when I open my 06 cs2 top it makes a slight " pop" sound as in something not aligning right, not sure if anyone has had that issue?

I don't have a 911 Cab however on my Boxster on the inside of the top frame about where your head is in comparison to the top of the side window there is a joint. The joint has a hinged cap on it that opens as the joint bends. Mine started making a pop sound as the hinge stuck for a second on the opening frame. I just put a little lubrication on it.

Not sure this will help. I had to watch and listening until I saw it. If you need a picture I can take one.

thanks, I think I found the issues, when near the closing of the top, the top is getting caught on the latch. not sure how to fix that?

Might be out of line. Be careful cause if it twists and bends it leads to very expensive repairs. If unsure what you're doing get someone qualified to have a look
