Hello Gents,
Having an issue for a while now that occasionally on full boost the car hesitates and throws P0300, P0303, P0302 codes. When they are reset, no codes unless I do the same.
Car runs great otherwise.
I have new plugs (will inspect the coils) fuel filter and air filter, but would like to order any other parts I need before I put it on the lift and go at it.
I read about a cam sensor bracket, but couldn't find the thread.
Thanks
Rod

Does your car have a tune?

This is what the cam solenoid bracket looks like. It's right there next to the middle spark plugs.

I don't know if it has a tune. I bought it 3 years ago with no history.
Thanks for the pic of the bracket. Can it be tested or is it an actual physical failure?

Bracket is a physical failure, it cracks and the solenoid moves around, but the solenoid itself can also fail.

If you were seeing steady .9, I'd guess it has a tune of some sorts...

With the hassle of the job, might make sense to just replace those coil packs instead of just inspecting them... OEM Beru's are pretty reasonably priced.

Thanks!!
Could this be the culprit?
They have a reputation for eating plugs and cracking coils?

Given the reputation (particularly with a tune) for Turbo's eating plugs and cracking coils, that seems like the right place to start without looking for too many other possible culprits.

The copper plugs wear pretty fast. 30k is the maintenance interval, but with a tune its more like 10k from what I understand. The coils do crack as well. I had 4 out of 6 cracked at 50k miles.
