Question About Painted Chin Spoiler
I see a lot of Turbos with the chin spoiler painted the body color and I'm just wondering how that holds up when it gets hit? I often hit driveways and tall speed bumps, and I assume others do the same. It seems to me that the paint would just come right off.
What do you do to avoid that?

Well thanks to the pitiful response (or lack thereof) from Rennlist, I asked a few Porsche body shops and they all confirmed my thoughts that painting the chin spoiler will look nice until you hit the first steep driveway or parking barrier. The urethane piece will flex and bounce back but the paint is not so forgiving.
Just in case anyone else was curious....

I had mine done and they use paint with the flex additive so it doesn't just crack off....... it does get scuffed but it is durable. You need the flex stuff they use for bumpers

Flex or no flex, you're wasting your time.
Unless, that is, you don't mind a repaint every 6-12 months. It's not a huge deal, but knowing the car sits low, and that nearly any incline is a potential risk, just be prepared to repaint from time to time.
We see them in the shop regularly.

This will happen no matter what front spoiler you have on the front if the car has been lowered (95% of whats out there). You have to watch for those "scrape" areas while out and about and just have an open account at a good paint shop... ( Have 2, 1 on the car while one gets painted )

Will lowering your car 4/5 of an inch, with the M030 cause alot of scraping on the front spoiler over speed bumps and dips on the street? Is it worth the improvement as far as the handling to go ahead with it?

You will definitely scrape driveways and tall speed bumps with 4/5 of an inch lowering. Any increase in handling is worthwhile, although I'm sure that the M030 is not the BEST use of your money as far as suspensions are concerned.
