The RS doesn't -- just the new non-RS GT3.

No Porsche dealer has ever required me to verbally (or otherwise) commit to driving the Porsche I was buying as a condition for selling it to me. My guess is they, and PAG, don't give a flip what anyone does with the car once they buy it.

As I said, what I intended to do with any new Porsche I've purchased was never brought up by the dealer.
When I was on the waiting list to spec. and order my 996 Turbo, there were people who had received their cars and turned right around and listed them at the same dealer on consignment for a premium. The dealer would park the car in the center of the showroom. Those who wanted to avoid the waiting list to purchase a new 996 Turbo could pay the premium and have the car on the spot. Ferry's statement had no impact on the dealership's sales strategy.
It's obvious that Preuninger can not control future Porsche sales for all those who purchase limited run "masterpieces" and don't drive them. Some of these owners may have their car(s) for years before selling them. These cars do not show up on Porsche's watch list (assuming they in fact even have one) as "flipped" (assuming Porsche has assigned a minimum ownership time identifying what constitutes a "flipped" car).
Of course Preuninger, in the end ever concerned more about the money than the car not being driven, said that "flippers" won't get on the list for the next car as long as Porsche has more demand than supply (meaning of course that all bets are off on the "drive it" thing if they aren't selling the cars).
What Preuninger is is really concerned about is the money, not whether or not people drive the cars (as I said above, he isn't keeping track of those who buy the cars and don't drive them as a long term investment strategy). He's just pissed about people making money on his masterpieces by flipping them.

The link above contains repeats of the information already discussed in Berra's link, although the comments at the bottom of the Car and Driver article are worth reading, especially AllWheelDriven's comment.

Why would anyone care about article comments when Porsche themselves have taken a very clear position on their products?
