Default P0507 & 114501H/1131777 "Undocumented Code"

2003 X50 car, 52,000 miles.

Keeps throwing:

P0507 Idle Control at Stop Exceeds Limit Value

114501H/1131777 "Undocumented Code"

As far as trouble shooting goes, My instinct is to boost leak test the car, and then go from there. My next thought is possibly the MAF.

Am I on the right track here with my gut instinct and has anyone had any experiences with these ?

Thx much

MAF issues cause different codes, in my experience and searching. You'll also typically see the PSM + ABS warning lights on the dash if the MAF is failing.

Make sure the oil cap is tight.

Ah might be the throttle postion sensor or drive by wire throttle control

Thanks for the input gents. I've checked the oil cap multiple times. so its not that. Throttle position sensor makes sense, i'll check that next after a boost leak test.

Reason i think boost leak, is if the car has a vacuum leak, it'll into air and idle high..

32 Idle air control at stop - above limit
Diagnosis conditions
• Start-up ended
• Speed = 0 km/h
• Throttle valve in idle position
• Engine temperature > 60 °C
• Intake air temperature > -10 °C
• No fuel tank ventilation or tank ventilation diagnosis
• No secondary air diagnosis
• Altitude correction factor > 0.75
• No faults in speed signal, throttle position sensor, engine tem- perature, EVAP canister purge valve or tank ventilation system

Possible fault cause
♦ Throttle is jammed
♦ Leaks in intake air system

Pressure test the intake system is a good idea.

I see no mention of MAF in the above.

Thanks Macster. Going to do a boost leak test, and then look at a possible throttle body if that doesn't solve the issue

Any follow up to this thread @bugeyemilo? I'm throwing the same P0507 code now.

Unfortunately no, I put the car away for a while and haven't had a chance to troubleshoot it.

I am going to tackle it this summer. From the looks of what I have read, and others have commented, its likely a boost leak, and if not, then throttle position sensor/ throttle body.

Car runs perfectly ok and pulled strongly even with the code, but it should be addressed !

interested in hearing back if you do solve your issue.

thanks,

Milo
