Can a Tiptronic TT take 520 HP ??

Ruf only changed the exhaust, air intake, Ruf tooled K24 turbos and a remapped ecu.The manual version gets a stronger cluch plate.Ruf onl started offering the 550hp version in the tip this year.Sounds like there was alot of R&D in the ECU upgrades.

Some of these service guys scare me. If he 9 the aforementioned service guy) knew which end of the tailpipe the exhaust came out of, he'd know that the Tip (auto tranny + torque converter) "smooths out" the loads across shifts, thus better capacity than any manual trans. I'd be shocked if the DC assembled (from primarily ZF parts) trans couldn't handle well over 700 Hp or so.... (say 600 + lb/ft or so).

I just happened to be around a couple of weeks ago and was given a ride in Sharkey's 996 .... and I would describe it as nothing less than frightening. The acceleration is so quick and immediate than it felt surrealistic ..... until you realized that you could become part of the rear end of the car in front of you that just an instant before appeared barely visable. Kevin said I should get one, I know I want one .... I would seriously consider a Tip. So far .... I have acquired a TIP steering wheel ... ket's see what Santa brings for Christmas.

this is my first post on this forum
im running a modified stage 4gt atm which produces about 655 hps ...
Advantages :
1- never miss a gear , shift too soon/late
2-easy launch and trac control
disadvantages:
1- a lil turbo lag
2-stepping on the throttle on 5th gear and on low RPMs will hurt your trany
3-tranny will heat up after several runs ( if u launch with both brakes and rpm at 3000-3500)
solutions:
1-get a new torque converter from ZF and modify it
2-get a tranny cooler
I highly recommend you getting your stage 3 package (550hps) from
Imagineauto /evo
