agree, again, and for me the most salient aspect of this to further bolster your point is, that this "deal" as reported, is for all intents and purposes a "dollar for dollar sideways trade" for the OP, and he's getting a trans w lsd, plus newer car w *better* mods vs his older car w a few less miles but not much "else".. and i'm of the opinion that the difference in miles on each car is of minor if any concern.

so yes, we agree this ALL would come down to any thorough going over on the car. but again, from my limited view, and all else being equal ( but then, when was the last time that happened? ha ) i still say that, provided it checks out?

definitely, trade.

Also interested in this. 997TTs with over 100k miles don't pop up frequently. Car looks nice, too.

It's an interesting dilemah for sure. A very good friend of mine has a 997.1 Turbo 6MT (mine also 6MT) with Bilstein coilovers (I have H&R coilovers), high flow exhaust (similar to mine) and we regularly cruise them together. (His is white & mine is black) I personally would not trade my car for his.

Don't get me wrong, I like the 997.1TT as much as the next guy. From the driver's seat both cars drive and feel very similar I actually prefer the more simple interior of 996TT and I feel less distracted in mine. It comes down to personal preference in my opinion.

By some of the logic here 993 Turbo owners should all have at least 996 Turbos or heck even 991 Turbos since they are newer & more modern !!

As for OP, it sounds like you are comfortable with the trade/car and want to do it so in that case...go for it.
