i got a new bosch part# 124.00 on eBay for 180$. its worth 180 to throw a new maf at the issue and it takes 30 seconds to install. plus a minute and fifteen seconds to reset the TB after the new MAF is installed. no new maf ever hurt anything, but it sure can cure a lot of curiously frequent abs/psm cels. should try it.
Ditto!

On the ECM reset, I've seen conflicting guidance - do you need a reset/ODB tool, or does unplugging battery for 10+ minutes reset it (at least for MAF replacement purposes)?

Thanks for all the feedback, going to do the MAF on my car for PSM/ABS issue. As you say, cannot hurt anything!

It's not an "ecu" reset as much as it is a recalibration of the throttle body. anytime to you unplug the maf it's suggested to reset the TB. Though if the engine hasn't been running since you unplug the maf? Then I can't imagine how the ecu would ever even "know". Still it's a 1:15 sec reset, so why not...

My original point is that Bad mafs disguise all manner of minor issues that all result in abs/psm random cels that all suck and idle hunt is usually a bad leak and/or bad maf. GL w it.

ADD: once you replace the maf with a new one ( or clean your TB and maf..? ) dont disconnect the battery. just open the decklid, and with driver door/window open ( so you can listen lol ) just turn the ignition to position 1 for one minute. dont actuate the throttle. turn key off. turn back on position 1 for another 15 seconds. you should be able to hear the butterfly valve "click" as it "resets". that should do it.
