Default Front plate

Used the stock plate mount in the stock location.
Square holes aren't hogged. Car came from a non-front plate state.

Plate and mount have disappeared somewhere. Sometime while driving.

Anyone have a suggestion to stop this next go round? Is there a better mount for that location?

Appreciate the idea but I'm looking to use the stock location.

At that point I may as well use toggle bolts.

I just run without the front plate.

Unless I am parking at a meter, I simply leave the front plate on the dash.

We have done this with our Audi (wife wanted the front plate on so I submitted), Macan S...no front plate, 996TT no front plate but I just got her but will not run a front plate.

Any front plate is a crime, IMHO. I live in CA (where a front plate is "required") and I have never had a problem running without one on any of my cars. Even when pulled over for speeding.

I live in Texas, and have been pulled over for not having the front plate. So not running a front plate (my preference) is not an option. I have the U.S.Millworks setup on 3 cars. Highly recommend if you don't mind moving from the stock location. I just could not find it in me to drill the bumper...

There are two square holes in the front bumper to put the stock mount in.
No drilling necessary.

All I was looking for was something that stops it popping out - it's plastic and isn't the most secure fit.

Ebay has quite a large selection of expanding, plastic, square "nuts" to fit your square holes.

I bought my car from a guy in California who had the front plate mount but did not install it. I found similarly that the system was not secure using the supplied screws.

What I did was to get slightly longer and larger screws and installed in the expected way. The front plate seems fully secure now on the bumper, it was just a matter of the supplied screws not producing enough separation in the plastic thingies to hold the apparatus in place in the pre-drilled square holes.
