My first power Mod

i can see a tune pushing a clutch over the edge, if it was, ya know.. just "time"! really hard to say how a clutch was treated before we "inherit" them absent worn clutch behavior...
in my example, this current car, the oem lasted nearly 90k miles before the trans bearings became liquefied lol.., and even then wasn't slipping! this with 16/24's plus the usual ad on's, etc..but it was definitely "time" and once the trans is dropped, well.. that's when to get at what you can while in there.. so in spite of the cars former track days, pushing just south of 500 rwhp the oem had no problems holding up. or i coulda been the first guy ever to drop the trans and NOT replace a clutch w 90k on it ha!
point i'm trying to make, is i would "upgrade" a stock car with a tune and a well matched exhaust first.. if i were thinking sequentially for the future mods as well. i'd only replace the clutch if the mods demanded it, or if it were ( as a wear item ) just necessary. really hard to make an argument against the notion of a "tune and exhaust" being the best 1/2 punch one might gain over stock. or at least, a good place to start!

My clutch slipped at 80K. My mechanic showed me the clutch were worn down to the rivets. Currently I am at 900 miles into my new clutch. Maybe with the tune I"ll probably will get 40K if i'm lucky. Not an aggressive driver.

i would think ( very low end ) 60-75k ( high end 90! ) on the first clutch would pretty much be the norm. bottom line is, some are harder on clutches than others.
you'll get more than 40 from where you are now. for sure.

Biggest advice is new plugs with Kevin's tune. Maybe even a new fuel filter

There is some good advice here. Some may need it. Some may not. But it's best to be prepared. I bought my car with stock clutch and 55k miles. I've had a replacement readybin the garage for a few months now. I'm at 68k miles now and it may be starting to go. The car was stock when I bought it and I put Kevin's tune on it a few days in.

SpeedTech 2.5 "quiet" X-cellerator. No aftermarket exhaust will be as quiet as stock, however, our 2.5 quiet is about as quiet an aftermarket exhaust as you will find. Many are very loud. Our X-cellerator series features a fully internal perforated "X-Pipe" design for dramatically improved sound over OEM.
Also, there are several reviews on our testimonial web page linked below.

I just got Kevins GT3 RS 4.0 clutch kit LWFW, Tune, and data logger. Absolute perfection with my GT2 slave (once I get a possible clutch master/slave failure sorted) and Speedtech 2.5 X-Pipe. Both Kevin and John are truely world class. Buy with confidence from both and never look back.

Oh my F'n god! The power is insane! Very exhilarating! Surprisingly, I've just hit 1.4 bar in 3rd gear (not sustain)! It's everything everybody said about UWM tuning. About how many hp gain is this?
