Well, the only way I can make the shootout is to have a co-pilot help me Cannonball from California to Asheville, NC in about 2 days. Yes that is 2350 miles in 2 days, we will be travelling at mach speed with our hair on fire! The only other option is to fly the sucker there on a big plane, that has to cost a bundle. Anyone know how much?
Anyway who wants to step up to the plate and make a whirlwhind trip in the RED BEAST?
I will pay for a airline ticket to Cali if you live more than 120 miles away. You will get to see the shootout in person have a blast driving cross country and be a part of the Tail of the Dragon Meet.

Hi Buddy
I've done Dallas to Miami solo in 2 days (in no particular hurry)
So get that airline ticket in the mail.
Oh....did I mention I'm in the UK !
seriously, if you get no other takers, let me know.

Wow, wish I could get out of work. I have made Tulsa, OK to Tallahassee FL in about 12 hours. I was in Gulf Port MS in less than 9. The amazing thing is that I was not pulled over or even chased once.

I'd sit co pilot for the two day drive, I think it would be a good time....
but only if I could randomly yell out rally style directions....
3 left plus, to 2 right minus, no cut, 4 right tight slippy....... etc etc....

Thanks for the reply's I have found a co-pilot and directly following the December 1st and 2nd shootout we will be cannonballing 2350 miles to Asheville, NC for the Tail of the Dragon Meet. Most of our route will be along I40 so if you live along that way send us a shout out!

BuddyG,
If, for any reason, your co-pilot drops out before you head back, I'm more than willing. Been to 3 driving schools. Driven to Kansa City from Bay Area in less than 24 hrs. Yes, a few yrs. back. But, avg. speed @ 80 mph. This included an extended dining stop (passengers) @ Denny's in Salt Lake. While I have not driven a 700 h/p car, my 951 ran through the traps @ 131+ mph. Faster than an F-40. Much faster than GT-2. No dents. Never lost control (except while on learning curve @ auto-X school, to find limits). Very comfortable with v-high speeds. Expect the worst out of every driver on the road (no dissapointments). No fear. I realize that's a 2 edged sword. No tickets. Spend more effort driving/learning than most put into their marriage.
