Another Article --- 996 Turbo , six figures on horizon?
Here is an article that came out today. Predicting 5 cars that may see 6 digits in '17.
https://www.blockchaser.com/news/mar...-for-2017.html
Highest price I have seen at auction for a pristine 996T was in May 2016 at Silverstone (Europe) was $97,000 USD (it was a Cab btw). This weekend at Mecum should be interesting
Edited to add link to original article.

if the person that authored the article can't properly spell "mezger'!? then i can't trust their prognostications regarding future valuations. mine remains solidly in the 5 figure realm.. until it hits the 4's.. lol
though i do believe the remaining gt350's will hit six figures. pal o' mine once bought a gt 350 california special for 5k!
add: i had a lancia what a POS it was! i KNEW i shoulda got that "limited edition".
i guess, if ya just live long enough!

Yeah, I hate it when they mis-spell Mezger. Drives me insane. But this article popped up on the main page at NESN so maybe some folks that have no clue what a 996t is may look into them...who knows

the visual giveaway on the gemballa stuff for 996tt is always the inlets on the wing. only stuff from gemballa that to me, looks "right". most everything else i've seen of theirs over the years is pretty over the top. but if form is following function, then.. ok.
but what ARE those things, anyway..where does the 'air" entering those inlets GO? and they add downforce?

I agree if those wing ducts are functional that's one thing, if for show only then It looks like they got the idea from 993 gt2. My understanding is that on 993 gt2 the wing ducts channel air to the engine's intake since those cars had intercoolers on top of the engine blocking where 996TT/997TT get their intake air from.
Car looks pretty nice but I think if this 996TT was changed back to all stock with the 9400 miles and being white color it would probably do better this weekend at the auction!
Looks amazing on 993 gt2 though....
