Beta Testers Needed for Bluetooth Conversion
#26
So here is the deal. We had a beta tester try to install the BTR-1 kit with a CDR-23 MOST head unit. No go. Everything plugs in, but the reprogramming for the AUX does not work. Bummer. He mentioned the Becker unit could be sent somewhere to be reprogrammed. But I cannot have that as part of my solution. The more research I do, the less it seems MOST will be easily solved. There are the Dension units that plug into the MOST fiber optics, but they are pretty expensive. There are plug in antenna FM modulators, but usually the sound quality is sub par. So the BTR-1 kit works in a Porsche with: Becker Traffic Pro, Mexico CD (7803, CC4325, CC4327, CD4337, CC4370), CR-22, CDR-22, CR-220, CDR-220. and maybe... CDR-210, CR-210 and PCM1 radios with a CD Changer port?

I can confirm with 100% certainty that this unit will not work with a CDR23 head unit. I believe they put them in all the cars 03 and up (someone correct me if I'm wrong). It uses the MOST network as others have mentioned but oddly has the correct connector on the back of the radio for this unit so I figured I'd try anyways and see what happened. The power and ground wires were different but everything else was the same. Got the BT unit powered up and paired to my phone and plugged it into the back of the radio but no luck being able to select as a source. I've included a few pictures for those of you who are interested.
As the radio came out, this is what was plugged in. I have the factory CD changer.
