Default New 996TT Crest!

I replaced my crest with Jim's beautiful work. I'm super happy with the result.

That looks great with Arctic Silver. It's the "best color" after all

That looks great! Do you mind saying how much it cost and what the wait time was? I'd really like to get something similar for mine.

I think the car does well with some color up front.

That new badge reminds me of combat camo military patches.

Thanks all.
@Dock - I kept my original so I can swap back if I want. I'm a 'keep it looking original' kind of owner, so I understand your preference.
@Cbracerx - unless I've been a complete idiot for the 5 years I've owned the car, it's a Polar Silver, not Arctic Silver car. The pictures are taken inside my garage, so it's hard to tell.
@Evan5469 - I don't mind at all, and I don't think Jim would mind. He publishes his prices. It's less if you send in your own crest to be redone, but I wanted to keep my original so I paid him for a 996 crest, and had it refinished. Here is his email to me on price:
"Thanks for the email and the order. I have 996 style pieces (with the 996 part # prefix) available for refinishing and will use one as a core for your custom crest. The total for a crest refinished in brushed nickel plate + satin black automotive enamel is $199.99 shipped (in the US, shipping outside the US is $10 additional). Time from receipt of payment to shipping is approximately two weeks."

He was spot on with the two weeks timeframe. I actually think he delivered early.

Oh dear! It really does look like Arctic to me. I must be getting colorblind, like Dock...

Either way, it looks great!

it looks very teutonic to me in a ww2 era vw bug kind of way. as long as you like it, all that matters. i agree a "splash" of color w the oem badge is just about right.

it is nicely done though!

I've owned two Arctic Silver Porsches, and my current Polar Silver 996Turbo...I can tell the difference

I also have my color vision checked every six months.

I've got the same crest and think it goes well with the smoked side markers, darker wheels and black Turbo script in the rear.

The crest in the two pictures appears to have some color on it....could just be the angle.

That's a good looking car you have there.

I'm actually in Monterey for a few days with my 3 yr old. We talked about bringing the Porsche, but in the end, we both agreed the big Lexus would be easier and allow us to bring all our (his) stuff! Maybe next time....

Black is not considered a color.
