Yeah, from the pics it looks like it would be a paint to sample/custom color. Maybe just the lighting/editing.

There must be a new Photoshop filter that does a 'hyper-reflective' effect, because I've seen more and more (mostly dealer) images with supernaturally reflective paint. ScottKelly911's pic is what to expect in real life.

Likely just "overdone" in post processing...it's epidemic these days.
