Default Carbon fibre hood weight savings....22lbs

I just received a shipment of carbon fibre hoods. These weight 10lbs 01oz versus 32lbs 3oz for the OEM steel hood which provides a weight savings of over 22lbs. That is substantial.

No. I'm installing the satin finish one in the first picture.

It is 32lbs, 4 oz of steel. Take a magnet to the under side of it.

Not sure what happened to the 6speed thread but I'm a buyer if you order more.
No hood pins, I assume?

I assume you got the cup hood struts for it since the stock ones are too strong and will stress/crack the carbon.
Great looking hoods, a friend has an unknown brand painted one and I was amazed to feel how light it felt bolted on compared to opening a stock one.
What's next man?

Cup struts are actually the same as the regular TT/GT2/GT3 struts. The Cup PET only specifies a single strut however. The Cup hood is metal actually. I am using the 996GT3RS struts which were used with the RS carbon hood. You can also use a worn out pair of stock struts. Next? Some beefed up drive train stuff and that's about it. Just drive the damn thing. Lol.
