Default Boost leak test - potentially stupid question...

I'm trying to solve a 0.4bar (presumed) limp mode.

When I have pressure tested the system both from the turbo inlet or y piece (using the well documented methods here) the wastegates will open pretty early on in the procedure allowing air to move out of the intake pipe where the air box connects but I can pressure up to 20psi or so eventually.

Should pressurising the system cause the wastegates to open in this way or is this a fault and a potential source of my problems?

Thanks

David.

The waste gates should not be opening under pressure during a boost test. Check your check valves and N75. Are you talking about the diverters opening up?

Thanks.

It's the wastegates on the turbos that are opening - you can hear / watch them under the car as the pressure builds - they both open equally. `

The N75 is new and works fine, I'm working my way through the check valves.

Does you know how the venturi part should work? I have one way flow through the large ports and 2 way flow (at a limited rate) through the smaller pipe - does this sound right?

Much appreciated
