There's a Tip for sale on one of the usual suspects. Auto trader iirc.

Edit: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...20274208&Log=0

I looked for 7 months for a M/T coupe and had no luck.
Ended up with Forest Green instead.

In 7 months this was the only 996TT M/T coupe I saw.

Thank you
The two I passed on we're tips as well.
Thoughts on this car/deal?
Don't hold back.

I'd wait for a m/t.

But also I don't personally like the wood, the wheels or the interior color so for me it would be a no from that alone. The aftermarket bolt-ons aren't for me either, so the $22k or whatever the owner has dropped into them has no value to me personally.

YMMV. It's been around for quite a while.

Agree on the wood, interior color is ok. The aftermarkets I agree. Would be happier if it was lstock with the $$ spent on upkeep.
$7,000 for HRE's?!
Who is happy with their tip and or put a paddle shift wheel on?
How much is the HH sticker worth?

I'm completely happy with my forest green / black interior tip cab! The brown interior is much easier to find if you like it better. With the UMC tune, the car is super responsive at any rpm, no lagging behind here. Good luck with the search.

I had a Forest Green M/T with Gray interior C4S and loved the color.

I would have one again in a heartbeat if it were manual and either gray or black interior. But my Arena Red TT wins out

That arena red is a really nice color.
I really wanted a dark interior on mine, but don't discount the natural brown leather with the green. It looks a lot better in person than in pictures, and has rather grown on me.

I have a tip, and have absolutely no regrets. I'd test drive a both and form your own opinion. The tip shifts faster than I could, and it makes the shifting idiot (slip) proof. I drive mine mainly on weekends and I do not track mine.

Make sure you get some pics of the underside, wheel wells, engine from anything you consider, especially if it's back east. The difference in appearance of ones well kept vs not is pretty dramatic from what I remember. Then again with 10k posts you're likely well equipped!

Is it true the forest green color had a negative effect on resale? I have heard this in the past but never really paid much attention to it.

that is surely a beautiful color regardless of interior features. ive never considered exterior color when looking for a used car, especially a Porsche. I bought an early 78 SC in 2000 and spoke to the seller about all the things that were important to me at the time, per my research. I went to look at it and was horrified that it was guards red!! the rest of my criteria had been met with the car, like the black interior in a solid 9.9/10, miles <59k, and the ppi checked out. I got used to the guards red, and learned to love it. and when it morphed into a racecar over the years what better color for a racer than red?
