Default Frount grill bumper questions

I bought a used frount bumper cover out of the states and it has these extra plastic bumperettes on the grills . I haven't seen these before .

Can I just take these off ? Do I have to replace the grills?

Also the black chin spoiler is pooched , I've seen cheap replacements on eBay for about $80 , are these a viable budget option ?
If not is there one out there ? The oem ones were pretty expensive online .
Thanks

That bumper is from early 2001...called warts. They are a PIA to remove...you'd have to fill the holes. Yes, the cheapo black spoilers work fine...

The warts aren't really "extra"...they came standard on that model year bumper ('01).

That lip is already "prepped" for use.
I have an $80 one in the wrapper that looks fine but I'm going to save it for when I really clearance mine.

Thanks
They must have been a US market thing in 2001 .
Canadian and European models didn't come with them according to the dealer. So could be considered extra .

I'll try to take them off , if I can't do it cleanly , I'll get new grills .
Thanks for the info on the chin spoiler , that's good to know , it seems like it would be an easy part to damage , 80 bucks is much cheaper than oem

I have the bumperettes/warts on mine. (On the car and in person they're actually not nearly as bad the internet will have you believe). Nevertheless, I will at some point want to address them. Mine are drilled through the plastic of the bumper, so removing and replacing the grill will still leave holes in the bumper above the side intakes. Opinions I have read seem to vary as to whether it is easier to fill and repaint, or just buy a new bumper without them.

If you remove and repair I would be very interested in hearing about your experience. Thanks!

If the holes are the size of the screws for the front license plate holder, go to bumper plugs.com and buya set of color keyed plugs
