Definitely custom.
Can't decide if I like them, or whether they look too much like chicken wire.
I've strongly considered replacing my 996 seat inserts with diamond pleating.
After seeing this…having some second thoughts. Thanks for the post.

The Audis are very appealing and (of course) very professionally designed. I'd do my seats in that fashion without hesitation. That wide hex pattern, however: still reminiscent of chicken wire. An unfortunate visual connection.

 

Looks good in the S7 with the rest of the bling in the interior. 996 interiors are somewhat plain, so IMO the stitching looks out of place. Maybe if the stitching was diamond, but usually diamond stitching are on seats that are more blush like Bentley's. Would agree with Trendy996 that the leather work is incredible.
